We will collect you from your hotel and travel along the N2 to Gordons Bay and on to Betty’s Bay and the Cape Whale Coast via the scenic and spectacular Clarence Drive. En route there is the opportunity to stop off at either the penguin colony at Stony Point Nature Reserve, or the Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens before arriving in Hermanus. Hermanus is widely recognised as one of the best land based whale watching destinations, and has a wonderful cliff top path along which one can stroll while enjoying beautiful views of Walker Bay and sightings of Southern Right Whales (in season – July to November). The town itself also has a number of interesting shops and trendy restaurants, including the unique Bientangs Cave right on the waters edge. The Hemel & Aarde Valley closeby is home to some excellent cool climate wines, as well as Craft Gin & Beer. All in all, a worthwhile day trip to make.
