Cape Town & Garden Route

Overview

This ten day tour starts and ends in Cape Town, on a Peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain, and is filled with culture and activity, beauty and indulgence,  and most of all – fun!  We visit Cape Point & the Cape of Good Hope, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Groot Constantia, take a Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain and sample the fruits of the Stellenbosch &  Franschhoek Winelands.

The filling in the middle, is the Garden Route , a beautiful coastal plain that lies between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains on the north, and the Indian Ocean on the south, pristine fynbos dunes  and towering indigenous forests – a holiday paradise for anyone who enjoys the outdoors , with each place we visit being a “pearl in the oyster”, vying to be the “jewel in the crown”. A wonderland of natural beauty and unlike much of the Western Cape, the Garden Route does not experience specific winter rainfall, with it’s rainfall spread more evenly throughout the year and enjoying a temperate climate.

The Garden Route offers numerous attractions for the Adventure Tourist, with varying degrees of adrenalin and bravery required, but if its not adventure you’re looking for there is still plenty to take your breath away – the magic of Tsitsikamma, Plettenberg Bay’s world renowned blue flag beaches and its very own wine route and  the Knysna Forests and the fabled Knysna Heads to name but a few.
