Day 8

Overnight: De Hoop Nature Reserve

A possible early morning hike before we head for our next destination. In stark contrast to the mostly luscious green forest and colourful fynbos vegetation, De Hoop Nature Reserve dispalys a more hardy appearance with spectacular white sand dunes, vivid turquoise blue ocean and fascinating rock pools. Tonight we will enjoy a traditional South African “braai” under the stars at our accommodation.

Day 9

Overnight: Hermanus

Today we will do an Interpretive Marine Walk or a hike to the Vulture Deck on the Potberg Mountain before going to Cape Agulhas, the southern most tip of Africa, where the Indian & the Atlantic Oceans meet, and then on to Hermanus, another one of the best shore based whale viewing spots (again, in season)

As the tour begins its final stretch, tonight we enjoy a communal feast of culinary delight, with the rhythm and beat of the Africa Cafe.

Day 14

On this our final full day, we travel across to the Stellenbosch Winelands to do the Porcupine Trail Wine Walk at Waterford Estate, one of the very top Trip Advisor destinations in the Winelands.
